    1. Just in case! I seem to remember the Romans used to have altars dedicated to all the gods ‘just in case’, so they didn’t risk offending any deities they forgot to mention (like the wicked fairy in ‘Sleeping Beauty’). Sadly I can’t think of an example to back up that statement…
