Building 27: Seion

Seion

Seion Baptist Chapel, St Davids

According to the National Monuments Record of Wales Seion Baptist Chapel was “built in 1823, rebuilt in 1843, extended in 1873 and restored in 1897. The present chapel, dated 1897, is built in the sub-classical style with a gable entry plan.” Seion (Welsh for Zion) is now Grade 2 Listed.

I liked the hint of Romantic Gothic in the window details in what is otherwise quite a sober non-conformist façade.
