Stone heads

Stone head: boar

boar's head

Boar’s head, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales

Though no longer the sign for an inn, this stone carving was indeed probably for an entrance to a pub called The Blue Boar in 1877. Later the building was the site of a coach factory and is now a nondescript shop front located amongst pizza and eastern food outlets.
