Butcher's Cave

Entrance to the Butcher’s Cave, Blaise Castle Estate, Henbury, Bristol

This chamber, modelled to accord with the aesthetic of the picturesque, is so-called because, we are told, the red tinge to the stones inside resembled hanging joints of meat.
